Who We Are
The Institute of Procurement Professionals of Rwanda (IPPR) was established in 2016 by Law No 011/2016 of 02/05/2016. Its major aim is to promote procurement professionalism and best practices in Rwanda.
Like any other entity in Rwanda, the Institute seeks to contribute to the ongoing efforts of transforming the country into a knowledge-based and service-driven economy. Against this background, it works tirelessly to ensure that the procurement profession in Rwanda is practiced with the utmost due diligence, with emphasis on professional ethics and internationally accepted best practices.
Our Goals
In the context of its mandate, IPPR was established to achieve the following goals:

Ensure that the procurement profession in Rwanda is appreciated and embraced at all levels of Rwandan society.

Guide and regulate the activities of procurement practitioners operating in Rwanda, to ensure that the services delivered conform to the established code of conduct, professional ethics and best practices.

Enhance the technical capacities and professional competences of procurement practitioners, so that they become more competent and competitive in the national, regional and international procurement job markets and consultancy opportunities.
